A Step By Step Visual Guide - Removing Upper Hull

Use this guide to remove the upper hull from the lower hull to replace or upgrade internal components such as gearboxes, smoke unit or receiver boards. Click here for more information on Heng Long Tanks.

1. remove screw from bottom front of lower hull.

2. Remove two screws from bottom rear of lower hull.

3. Remove two silver screws from above the roadwheels.

4. One screw is towards the front just behind the sprocket.

5. The other is near the middle.

6. Remove the clamps holding the air hoses on engine deck in place.

7. Alternatively remove just hoses from air filter pipes.

8. Note main connector (top middle in white) and aerial connector (bottom right in silver).

9. Disconnect main connector (white) as shown above.

10. Disconnect aerial connector as shown above.

11. Lower hull separated from upper hull ready to be worked upon.
